Our annual cultural trip to the beautiful Berkshires 
offers tickets to 4 performances:

2 Theatre: Williamstown Theatre Festival & Barrington Stage Company

For 20 years we partnered with the Theatre Development Fund in offering theatre- rich tours around the world and 
Tdf has endorsed our annual trip to the Berkshires.

This trip fills quickly and single rooms are limited.

Detailed Descriptions

Day One Thursday August 17:   

Board your coach in midtown Manhattan  (30th St @ 7th Ave) at 9:00am and travel with your guide to Lenox MA  for  lunch and a tour of The Mount, Edith Wharton’s estate. Tonight enjoy dinner and Barrington Stage Company’s production of  Company. This   1970  musical comedy with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim  won 6 Tonys.  Spend 3 nights at the Pittsfield Crowne Plaza Hotel which has a pool, fitness center and restaurant.  (L/D)

 Day Two Friday, August 18:   

Tour  MASS MoCA, one of the world’s liveliest centers for making and enjoying today’s most evocative art. The Museum exhibits art by well-known and emerging artists. You stop for scenic views from nearby Mount Greylock, the highest point in Massachusetts.  You have time to refresh before supper and a performance at  in the Shed at Tanglewood. The Boston Symphony Orchestra’s program features Brahms Symphony No. 2. and Mahler selections from Des Knaben Wunderhorn and Ruckert-Lieder.  (B/D)


Day Three Saturday, August 19:  

Spend the day in picturesque Williamstown.   At the renowned Clark Institute you see the summer exhibit, An Inner World, featuring seven exceptional genre paintings by Dutch artists working in or near the city of Leiden in the 17th century.  After lunch at the museum you have tickets at the  Williamstown Theatre Festival for A Legendary Romance.  Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Lonny Price directs an intimate new musical  set at the intersection of loyalty, love, and ambition. You return to Pittsfield for a group dinner.  (B/L/D) 

Day Four Sunday, August 20: 

Depart in the morning and travel to  the Hudson Valley for a performance at Bard Summerscape, one of the most ambitious and highly anticipated performing arts festivals in the country. The 2017 Festival explores Chopin’s  powerful legacy that helped shape the future of music. Echoes of this legacy will be heard in works by Chopin, Brahms, Debussy and others.  After the concert you return to New York where you arrive around 630pm.

$300.00 deposit due immediately. Deposit is non-refundable. Final payment due May 301 and is non- refundable after this date.

Carew Travel Consultants Inc./tdf act only as agents for the passenger with respect to transportation and hotels, and exercise every care possible.  However we can assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity in connection with the services of any motor coach or other conveyance used in carrying out these tours, or for acts of defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying  the passengers or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour.  We can not accept responsibility for losses of additional expenses due to delay or changes or other causes beyond our control.  All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger as tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time stated.  We reserve the right to make alterations to the itinerary as may be deemed necessary for carrying out the tour. The right is reserved to cancel any tour prior to departure in which case the entire payment will be refunded without further obligation on our parts.  The right is reserved to decline,  accept, or retain any person as a member of the tour.  Baggage is at the owners risk entirely.
